  • Fridges and other white goods (freezers, ovens, washing machines etc)
  • Glass bottles and jars (clear, brown, green)
  • Small household batteries
  • Small appliances (hairdryers, microwaves, irons etc)
  • Car batteries
  • TVs and monitors
  • Fluorescent tubes/energy saving light bulbs
  • Books/DVD/Bric-a-Brac
  • Tyres
  • Paint
  • Chemicals ie weedkiller (this must be reported to an attendant when brought on site)
  • Asbestos(please telephone in advance to confirm that there is enough space for your asbestos waste)
  • General household waste

Trade waste is not accepted at Clay Flatts HWRC.

There is a permit scheme in operation at Clay Flatts HWRC. This means that if you want to bring your household rubbish to Clay Flatts HWRC using a van or a twin axle trailer (up to 3m long) you will require a permit to do so.
