The Recycle for Cumbria team will be making an appearance at Cartmel Show for the first time this year. The show is held at the racecourse in Cartmel and is a great day out for all the family.
We will have lots of interesting information on our stand, all to do with ways of reducing, reusing and recycling waste in Cumbria. Experts will be on hand to explain how easy it is to make compost at home and we will be bringing along our display of subsidised home compost bins. There will be information on the national Love Food, Hate Waste campaign and a real nappy display, run by the Cumbria Real Nappy Campaign.
Please come and visit our stand if you are at the show, we look forward to seeing you there!
For more information about the show, please visit the Cartmel Show website (external link).
The Recycle for Cumbria team has created a new scarecrow for the 2010 Dalston Scarecrow Trail. Our theme for this year is Saint Recycle (the knight in shining tin foil) slaying the evil black wheelie bin dragon!
Our scarecrow is made from as many recycled and reused materials as possible and you can see it for yourself at number 3 Caldew Drive (number 27 on the scarecrow trail map).
If you're impressed by our creation (and the poem that accompanies the scarecrow) please vote for us to win!
For more details about the scarecrow festival visit the Dalston village website (external link).
